In this lesson we will look at alternate picking arpeggios with simple 2 finger concepts. When playing clean/acoustic jazz fusion or Indian style Raga Shakti lines the Rhythm is everything so arpeggios have to be picked correctly and in time.
The Tab/Notation and the video above gives all the info to get started now! Good Luck!

This little alternate picking guitar exercise is taken from John Mclaughlin’s acoustic jazz fusion C.D “Belo Herozonte”.
Although this is a simple and short exercise it displays the way to open up and extend long fluid alternate picking improvised jazz fusion guitar lines.
Simple pattern and repeated fingering in the style of “Belo Herozonte” and “Music spoken here” by John Mclaughlin. Like the 3/4 pattern in our last alternate picking lesson this borrows the same fingering but it is in 4/4.
